Candidates should be graduates securing at least 53% marks in the Honours subject at the graduation level. The marks obtained in Honours subject will be the only deciding criterion academically for award of the PG-level scholarships

  • Firstly there are some common eligibility criteria for students.
  • Also, for applying should be permanent residence from WB state.
  • Then, the annual family income of students should not more than 2.5 lakh rupees.
  • Secondly, the eligibility criteria depend on student percentage previously.
  • So, for Higher Secondary level. The student should qualify for the Madhyamik exam with 75% marks at least.
  • Then for diploma students. They should clear the exam from 1 year or 2nd year of diploma with 75% marks also.
  • After that, Under Graduate Students. Students need to clear 12th class with at least 75 % marks also for qualifying for a scholarship.

All students from economically challenged families in the state will be eligible for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship programme. HS, UG Honors, PG, Medical, Engineering, Nursing, Paramedical, Diploma, PG. The scholarship amount ranges from INR 12,000 per annum to INR 60,000 per annum

However, for students belonging to minority communities, the applications are accepted through the official website of West Bengal Minorities’ Development & Finance Corporation.   • Once registered successfully, one can log in to account through the registered user id and password

  • Once the candidates have logged into their accounts, they can access the scholarship application form. Fill in all the fields that are marked as mandatory.

Step 4: Uploading the supporting documents

  • One needs to update all the documents that are required in support of the online application. One must upload the correct documents in specified format and size.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Renewal (SVMCM)?

Every year, the winners of Swami Vivekananda scholarship (Bikash Bhavan Scholarship) have to apply for its renewal. Applicable only for some particular level of studies, the renewal cases are subject to one’s decent academic performance. The minimum score for renewal that one should obtain at the promotional level during one’s transition from higher secondary level to UG and Diploma level is 60% marks. However, to get a renewal at postgraduate level, one needs to obtain minimum 50% marks at the promotional level. Furthermore, one should pass/clear all semester examinations in the first attempt to be eligible for renewal.
