Odisha government has given great news to its employees. Dearness allowance or dearness relief i.e. DR for the employees and pensioners of the state has been increased by 3 percent. After this decision, now the dearness allowance / relief of employees has increased from 31 percent to 34 percent.

This increase is effective from January 1, 2022. According to the statement issued by the state government, the arrears of dearness allowance or dearness relief from January to August will be paid separately.

It means to say that the employees will also get the arrears of 8 months. This decision of the state government will benefit four lakh employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners.
